The trio will perform music from  their follow up album Quiet Tiger, recently released on Basho Records  label. Kit’s compositions are inspired by artists as diverse as Bill  Frizell, Bartok, Bjork and Nick Drake. His  newly formed trio explores the classic jazz standards songbook, with  Tony on tenor and soprano sax. Last year Tony was honoured to play tenor  alongside the legendary Ornette Coleman in New York, in a studio  recording on a CD by Jamaaladeen Tacuma. Tony a member of the World  Saxophone Quartet has recently been working with the acclaimed South  African pianist Abdullah Ibrahim. The trio’s fresh vibrant sound and  lyrical re-arrangements are reminiscent of the Sonny Rollins trio  featuring Max Roach. Also an accomplished composer, Kyle has written various  soundtracks including the Academy Award winning films Mystic River and  Million Dollar Baby.
